Master's in Medical Research
The Medical Research Center (MRC) at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS) offers a unique Master's in Medical Research program, the first of its kind to be approved by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. This two-year degree program is designed to build the university's research capabilities by training highly skilled professionals.
Curriculum & Opportunities
The program's curriculum focuses on equipping students with the skills to address current and future healthcare challenges through research. Courses include subjects such as Introduction to Research and Basic Research Methods, Advanced Biostatistics and Data Analysis, and Academic Writing. Students also have the opportunity for an optional internship. The program is designed to prepare graduates for careers in academia, industry, and clinical research.
Eligibility & Admissions
To be eligible, applicants must have a 16-year education (a Bachelor's degree) in fields such as biological sciences, medical and health sciences, or pharmacy. A minimum GPA of 2.6 on a 4.0 scale is required. Applicants must also pass an entry test with a score of over 70%, which covers basic sciences, English proficiency, and analytical reasoning. Research experience and a track record of publications are preferred. |
