Submit Abstract
Deadline for Submission: July 31, 2026
Abstracts for Poster/Oral presentations are invited from undergraduate students & house officers from health sciences programs. The abstracts can be submitted in MS Word Format (.doc/.docx) and via email at murc.abstract@lumhs.edu.pk
1. Title:
- The title must be concise, descriptive, and self-explanatory, with a maximum of 20 words.
- Abbreviations should not be used in the title.
2. Authors:
- Abstracts may have multiple authors.
- Only undergraduate students enrolled in health sciences programs are eligible to submit.
- The presenting author may be the first author. If the first author is unable to present, another co-author may present, provided that:
- a) they are also an undergraduate student, and
- b) they are listed as an author on the study.
- Full names of all authors should be provided, with the presenting author’s name underlined below the abstract title.
- The presenting author's academic year, discipline, institution’s name, email address, and cell number must be included below the keywords
(e.g., Final Year MBBS, LUMHS, example@gmail.com, 0300-0000000).
3. Abstracts:
To be considered, abstracts must meet the following criteria:
- The abstract must not exceed 300 words (excluding title, author information, and keywords).
- Use Times New Roman, font size 12, single spacing.
- Only completed research studies will be accepted.
- Preference will be given to unpublished research.
- Research must be relevant to health sciences. Abstracts from unrelated disciplines will not be considered.
- The abstract must follow a structured format as outlined below:
Background: Brief context and rationale for the study
Objectives: Clearly stated aim(s) of the stud
Methods: Include study design, population/sample size, duration, data collection, and analysis methods
Results: Key findings of the study
Conclusion: Main conclusion based on results
Keywords: Up to 6 keywords must be provided at the end of the abstract.
- Plagiarism Policy: Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work. Abstracts with a Similarity Index greater than 25% or AI Similarity greater than 30% will not be considered for presentation at MURC-LUMHS 2026.
- Only one presenting author is permitted for each abstract submission. The presenting author must be listed among the authors and must be an Undergraduate Student /House Officer enrolled in a health sciences program.
