Professor Dr.Rafi Ahmed Ghorihas acquired Fellowship from College of Physicians and Surgeon’s Pakistan in 1993. He is currently serving as Incharge/ unit chief &Professor Medical Unit I and Registrar at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Jamshoro. Prof. Ghori has the clinical and teaching experience of more than 30 years. He is an innovative academician / clinician. He is an approved Higher Education Commission PhD Supervisor, FCPS Medicine (College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan) and MD Medicine (Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences, Jamshoro). He is approved supervisor byAllama Iqbal Open University, Pakistan for M.Sc. Nutrition.Prof. Rafi serves as an examiner of CPSP, MD Medicine (LUMHS).
In addition to his services as consultant physician to the community as a whole & trend setter to the young learners in Internal Medicine, he has acted as the Chairman of Department of Medicine for 06 years, FOCAL PERSON /facilitator of Hepatitis Prevention of control program, Sindh (Chief Minister’s Initiative) for hepatitis B, C and D for many years. Prof. Ghori has made first curriculum of MD General Medicine LUMHS.Prof Ghori has been working as Chairman Organizing Committee/Moderator & facilitator for various academic seminars & symposia organized by LUMHS. Beside he has been conducting various awareness health programs on Media.
Dr. Ghori is life time member of Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) and various curricular and extra-curricular committees of the Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences Jamshoro. His special fields of interest are Liver diseases, Diabetes Mellitus , Neurological disorders& Chest diseases.
He has presented Papers in national and international conferences including DDW, APASL, EASL and others, he has also attended different courses / conferences national & internationally.
Dr Ghori is permanent reviewer for research oriented activities by JLUMHS & has checked many thesis & dissertations of Post graduates
He has organized various workshops/ seminars &clinlicoPatho conferences on different diseases for students , post graduates & faculty beside having a usual routine practice to have morbidity / mortality meetings , journal club / case discussions & problem oriented / clinical skills refresher classes at his unit.
