ABOUT THE CONFERENCE |
The Medical Undergraduate Research Conference (MURC) 2025 is a premier academic
event organized by LUMHS to foster a culture of inquiry, innovation, and evidence-based
medical education among undergraduate students. This year’s theme, “From Bench to
Bedside: Translational Research in Medicine,” highlights the vital connection between basic
scientific discoveries and their application in clinical practice. Through this theme, we aim to
explore how innovations can transform patient care, shape future treatments, and
revolutionize healthcare delivery.
MURC 2025 invites undergraduate medical students from across Sindh province and beyond
to share their research, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and network with leading
clinicians, researchers, and academic mentors. Whether your work stems from bench science,
clinical trials, community health, or digital medicine, this platform welcomes all

BMC LUMHS – BILAWAL MEDICAL COLLEGE FOR BOYS, JAMSHORO |
Bilawal Medical College (BMC) for Boys is a constituent institution of LUMHS, established
to provide quality undergraduate medical education in a male-only setting. As one of
Pakistan’s first public sector boys-only medical colleges, BMC offers a culturally sensitive
academic environment, particularly beneficial for students from conservative backgrounds.
Located on the LUMHS campus,
BMC has access to modern facilities including simulation Labs, Research Centers, and affiliated Hospitals.
It emphasizes problem-based learning, early
clinical exposure, and active student participation in research and community health. BMC
plays a key role in expanding equitable access to medical education while maintaining

LIMHS THATTA – LIAQUAT INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL & HEALTH SCIENCES,
THATTA |
Liaquat Institute of Medical & Health Sciences (LIMHS), Thatta, is a constituent college of
Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, established in 2023.
Strategically located near the historic city of Makli in Thatta District, a UNESCO World
Heritage Site known for its rich cultural legacy, LIMHS serves as a vital extension of
LUMHS, aiming to expand access to quality medical education in the region. The institute
offers undergraduate programs such as MBBS, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), BS
Nursing, and BS Medical Laboratory Technology (BSMLT), and postgraduate programs in
various disciplines of basic and clinical sciences.
Its establishment not only enhances
educational opportunities but also contributes to addressing regional health disparities
