Offices of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) focuses to strengthen research culture at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Jamshoro and to link research activities directly to other educational institutions at national and international level and deliver its benefit to the community. The ORIC also strives to facilitate faculty in developing and conducting high quality research projects of International standard.

Aims

To support the university's strategic research directions and policies
To increase and diversify external research funding
To make suggestion regarding recruitment and retention of research faculty
To strengthen integration of research and education at all levels of the university
To promote translation of research into the public benefit
To Strengthen university-industry relationships
To Promote entrepreneurship, technology-transfer and commercialization activities that energize and support the local and national economy
To promote and enhance cross-cutting and multi-disciplinary research initiatives

ORIC’s 5 Years Strategic Plan

Our plan is to become world leaders in medical research, we are committed to our dream.
Our small step towards research intensive university will include identification of opportunities, utilize
our strengths and improve our weaknesses will lead us to destination.
During these five years we will improve research capacity of our faculty, hunt research grants and
produce impactful research projects.
We plan to market our academic programs at International level in identified countries
This will develop a culture of research and innovation and the end product will be commercialized and
marketable.
Our targeted areas for research strengthening in drug developments, introduction of new diagnostic tests
and get patents and commercialization for these products.
We also plan to work on vaccine development in next 5 years.
