1. COMPUTER FUNDAMENTALS & DIGITAL RESOURCES (COMPUTER WORKSHOP FOR POSTGRADUATES)

Department of IT, LUMHS announces following mandatory computer workshops for postgraduate students.
First Workshop: 19th June 2006 - 1st July 2006
Second Workshop: 17th July 2006 - 29th July 2006

Further Programs will be announced by time.

Workshop Duration:	Two Weeks
No. of Participants:	30 Per Workshop
Timing:	09:00 AM - 01:00 PM
Venue:	Advance Computer Training Lab, IT Department

Note: Registration is on "First Come First Served" Basis, Senior Post-Graduate Students will be given priority.

2. Computer Skills Development Program (Advance Level Training Course for Non-Gazzetted Staff)

Advance level training course for non-gazzetted staff has been organized from 19th June to 29 July 2006.

A test will be conducted on Thursday 15th June 2006 at 11:00 AM at Department of IT for those participants who have not attended any beginner level training at IT Department, LUMHS.

All persons (Non-teaching) working on Contract / Fix Pay basis since last three years upto 30th June 2006 (with minor break of 1 of 2 days) are directed to fill in the proforma and submit it in the office of the Director Students affairs LUMHS, along with supportive documents and certificates before 15th JUNE 2006.

Proforma is available in the office of the Deputy Registrar Office).

1. ADVANCE LEVEL COURSE ON “TEACHING & LEARNING”, AT AGA KHAN UNIVERSITY, KARACHI.

Education development of Aga Khan University is offering subject course from August 15-25, 2006. The course is preceded by the introductory short course in Health Professions Education from August 07-11-2006, which is a pre-request for the advanced course.

2. INTERNSHIP IN GERMANY

IFA forum Germany invites applications on prescribed performa through proper channel from young Government Employees / NGO workers for three months internship to develop professional and inter cultural competency. This training will increase the inter cultural, political and specialist knowledge and competence of future representatives and multipliers of the civil societies. 3. 1ST INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ASSESSING QUALITY IN HIGHER EDUCATION
