SCHOLARSHIP & FREESHIP - ADMISSIONS 2010-2011
These are intended to help the poor, deserving, talented, regular and meritorious students. This facility shall be stopped at any time by the Head of Institution if he feels that the student/ awardee is not making progress in his studies and indulging himself in unhealthy activities prejudicial to his education advancement, or against whom an F.I.R. has been lodged in any criminal case.
(a) MERIT SCHOLARSHIP
- Ten merit scholarships each year and in each college/institution on the basis of results of the Professional M.B.B.S. University Examination.
- The value of the scholarships will be as follows:
Student standing first, second & third Rs. 1500 per month Student standing fourth to tenth Rs. 1000 per month
- These merit scholarships shall be given irrespective of any other scholarship being received by the student.
- In case of a tie (viz. having equal marks) the preference for the award of Merit Scholarship will be given to a student who got better position in previous year’s annual examination.
- Ten merit scholarships each year on the basis of results of the professional B.D.S University Examinations. The value of the scholarship will be as follows:
Student standing first, second & third Rs. 1500 per month Student standing fourth to seventh Rs. 1000 per month
(b) FREESHIPS
- Remission of the whole or half of the tuition fees may be allowed by Freeship Committee not exceeding more than 10% numbers of students.
- Remission of fees means exemption of paying tuition fee only full or half as the case may by. The student who are granted full or half remission of tuition fees shall be required to make full payment for all other subscription/funds.
- Application for remission shall be submitted by the students on the date to be fixed by freeship committee. The application should be accompanied with Income certificate from D.C.Os or Mukhtiarkar (Revenue) of the concerned districts / taluka to which student belongs.
- The grant of such remission will depend upon the circumstances of the students to his / her studies. Absence from or failure from professional examination breach of discipline, neglect of studies or reprehensible conduct shall entail the of loss of concession.
- Remission will be granted on yearly basis on fresh applications invited every year.
- Student who are receiving stipends will not be eligible for Free-ship concession.
- Following students or eligible.
- Poverty cum merit basis
- High Academic percentage basis (except top ten position holders).
- Brother and sister basis or two brothers or two sisters in this University. (One should pay full fees than other is eligible for full freeship of tuition fees).
